Often considered as one of the earliest 'rock groups' The Tremeloes have a music industry history that spans back to the 1950's. Dave Munden and Rick Westwood, original members of the band, are joined by an eclectic mix of dedicated musicians and vocalists bringing their classic hits to their fans, old and new.
Even before the start of their recording career - back in the days of black and white TV - they were touring with their live show and had over 200 appearances on BBC. They can claim to have rubbed shoulders with many of the greats of the era and were signed by Decca Records in the same week that the company turned The Beatles down!
Ironically The Tremeloes had their first top five hit 'Twist and Shout' at the same time as The Beatles were in the charts with the same song. their association with the 'Fab Four' didn't't stop there, and over the years they have appeared on the same bill on many occasions.
Decca Records had been right to sign the band (bet they were kicking themselves about the Beatles mind you) after their first hit The Tremeloes carried on their success with a further six chart hits including "Do You Love Me" "Someone Someone" and "Candy Man".
We are pleased to say that this incredible band are still performing today. The Tremeloes are working all over the UK and are massive in Europe. Their association with an era considered to be musically ground-breaking guarantees their popularity. They are welcomed by audiences in holiday parks, theaters, concert halls and are an ideal booking for any event that involves music from the 50's, 60's or 70's. The Tremeloes history and connection with some of the greatest bands of our time make them ideal booking for any event.
