21st Century Foxes have all been playing in bands for over 10 years including recording in Los Angeles with Maroon 5's producer, playing at the O2 Hyde Park festival and winning a Capital FM band competition. They’ve seen and played with many amazing cover bands too and knew that if they wanted to do something new, it would have to be unique but still retain the most important element which is to guarantee everyone has a great time dancing to the songs they love.
As big fans of Back to the Future and in particular the soundtrack, the band wondered if they could put together a project which captured that movie/music magic. Sure enough, after many hours of watching their favourite movies again(it was a really tough job, honestly!) they realised there were more than enough amazing movie songs to create a truly original live show that would have the audience up on their feet.
And so there we are...21st Century Foxes.
Playing Top Gun academy's most famous pilot, Oskar is a supremely gifted vocalist and performer. He was originally trained by the lead vocalist from Sweden's Jesus Christ Superstar at Music College in Stockholm and has also studied at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London. As well as playing in many bands both here and in Sweden, he has acted and written for a musical in Stockholm. A natural showman, Oskar will take you and the audience on the highway to the dangerzone and beyond.
As deadly with a microphone as she is with a Samurai sword, Federica is a formidable frontwoman who has graced the festival stages of Milan, Monza and Genova before arriving here in London. Over 10 years of performing experience and as adept at rock and blues as she is R&B and soul, her versatility has also led her to collaborate with some of the most in-demand session musicians around Europe.
Marty Mcfly, Lead guitar and vocals
Back from the future to handle lead guitar duties and vocals, Mike is a highly accomplished musician who's electrifying guitar playing has led him to support musical legends such as Paul Weller and Blondie. Off stage he has worked with renowned producers such as Alex Von Soos (Seal, All Saints) and Mike Horner (Shakira, The Prodigy). Mike is a die-hard Back to the Future fan and owns the EXACT same guitar that Marty McFly uses in the film.
Peter Venkman, Keyboards and Musical Director
Known for his supernatural abilities on the keyboard, Alex was an obvious choice for Ghostbuster, Peter Venkman. His piano playing has taken him from Boogie Woogie gigs in the Midlands to recording at the legendary Sound City Studios, California (Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Johnny Cash and Elton John). Alex draws on over 25 years of playing to take the audience from the pounding rock n' roll of Jerry Lee Lewis to the fleet fingered soloing from the Baywatch Theme (We're not afraid to tackle an epic TV theme if there's an affiliated movie)
The Terminator, Bass and Vocals
Playing the bass requires deadly precision to ensure that it locks in perfectly with the drums and its with machine-like precision that Lewis fits into his role as The Terminator. He graduated in Music Composition & Technology from the University of Hertfordshire and has performed at some of Londons most prestigious venues including the Borderline, Barfly and the Ealing Jazz festival.
Who better to play the Italian Stallion than our very own Sicilian Civilian, Filippo. A true heavyweight musician, Filippo used to play in a Led Zepplin tribute band as well as host the legendary Blues at the Bullet jam in London where sessions would sometimes finish at 5 in the morning. Got a crowd that want to dance all night? This guy will keep punching out the beats for as many rounds as they can take.
"These guys are quite simply awesome! They know how to connect with an audience and create an amazing atmosphere. The music and singing combined with the outfits make these a real stand out band for your event - cannot wait to see them perform again"
Vanessa Harness, Wedding & Event Planner
"21st Century Foxes are a breath of fresh air, lots of fun and truly perform the classics with class"
