D Ream is a Northern Irish pop and dance group guaranteed to fill floors…
D:Ream rose to prominence in the 90s, and are well known for their three-time charting single Things Can Only Get Better. The single was released in 1993 and initially charted at #24. After a remix and re-release, it catapulted to #1 for four weeks in 1994. The single was adopted by the Labour Party as their theme for the 1997 General Election and reached #19. The group also created eight more top 40 hits, and they released two albums, both of which reached the UK top five.
he group had an all-male line-up which varied in number but mainly centred on the lead singer, Peter Cunnah. They are also recognised for their live band members. This included keyboard player Brian Cox, who is now a professor of physics and a television presenter.
In 2008, the group reformed after a chance meeting by Cunnah and Al Mackenzie. They recorded a new album released in 2011 on their own label User Records and they continue to make techno-pop music to dance the night away to!
