Former members of the punk parody band ‘Leyton Buzzards’, David Jaynes and Geoffrey Deane, formed Modern Romance in 1980.
Their 1981 release ‘Everybody Salsa’ reached the UK Top 20. The following year, they released their UK Top 10 hit ‘Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey’, and then went on to hit the #2 spot on the Billboard Dance Chart with ‘Can You Move’.
They continued a string of Top 40 hits with a cover of ‘Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White’ along with ‘Queen of the Rapping Scene’.
