What time is it? It’s Chico time! Yousseph ‘Chico’ Slimani rose to fame after making it to the semi-finals of The X Factor in 2005.
In 2004, he co-wrote, starred, produced, and provided the soundtrack for the BAFTA-nominated short film ‘Winner Takes All’. Following The X Factor, he had a No. 1 hit in the UK Singles Charts with ‘It’s Chico Time’ in 2006. It spawned the spin-off 2010 FIFA World Cup spoof ‘It’s England Time’. The proceeds of this single went to the ‘Rainbow Child Foundation’.
He has appeared on a number of panel shows including ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and ‘Celebrity Pointless’, as well as appearing on ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ an ‘Dancing on Ice’.
