The Brief
A positive work environment is key to any successful business. That’s why our client’s top priority is having dedicated, hard-working and passionate employees driving the company forward. As a thank you for all the hard work over the past year, our clients wanted us to create an amazing family fun day out for all their 500 staff, partners and families. It was also an opportunity to showcase Weir Minerals Europe as a company and a great place to work.
The Challenges
We knew that for this to be a successful event, we had to create a fun, dynamic and unique experience. Luckily for us, that’s what we do best. We were given a very clear brief and we intended to execute it perfectly. But in order to do that, we had to anticipate, plan and overcome some challenges which included; encouraging employees to participate in activities on the day, attracting attention away from a party that was taking place at the same time, ensuring security was in place to keep attendees safe, making sure there was enough variety of food, entertainment and activities on the day and most importantly, ensuring everyone has a great time.
The Solutions
For this event to be a showstopper, we set up an impressive 24ftm by 9m marquee with bunting, bright tablecloths & chairs along with a picnic table style seating area and pop up flags. In order to create a strong corporate image, we branded the flags and bunting area with the client’s logo. We combined a cheeky Raptor Dinosaur, with an impressive T Rex and cute baby Dinosaurs who walked around the party throughout the day. As well as the Dinosaurs, we also provided a giant Dinosaur egg for people to interactive and take memorable photos with.
We knew a big part of this party was the food – it is a BBQ after all! So, in order to satisfy everyone’s food tastes, we provided a variety of food options alongside the traditional BBQ including: Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options. Inside the marquee, we created a true festival feel with large bubble machines, giant games, a rodeo bull and a hungry hippo inflatable. The inflatables alone created curiosity and generated a lot of attention – which is exactly what we hoped for.
The Results
