Jason Manford’s working class upbringing in Manchester has shaped the basis of much of his comedy material. His first job as a glass collector in a local pub, he fell in love with comedy while witnessing comedians such as Peter Kay, Eddie Izzard, and Johnny Vegas. He pursued a diploma in media and performance at the University of Salford, laying the groundwork for his comedic journey.
Upon graduation, Jason embarked on a tour with his stand-up act. Venturing into acting, he took on small roles in ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Emmerdale’. However, it was his role as a team captain on the panel show ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ that brought him into the spotlight.
