Luckily, members of the audience help out, standing in for ball boys, physiotherapists, and even Royalty. The thrilling ‘one setter’ includes slow motion replays, headed line calls, and live comic commentary.
Our tennis player plays a game of tennis with a member of the audience. The set up to the match involves training two ball boys/girls, dressing the volunteer in a tennis costume, and appointing a ‘Duke and Duchess’ of Kent who present the prizes at the end.
The actual match is interspersed with tantrums from the ‘star’ player and slow motion replays (the umpire does this using a ball on a really long pole!). The umpire (with a really posh voice) does a comic commentary throughout and interviews the players, ball boys / girls, and royalty at the end.
