Tony Hadley first formed a band in 1976 called The Cut. Alongside Steve Norman, John Keeble, Michael Ellison, and Gary Kemp, the group eventually settled on a new romantic sound and a name – Spandau Ballet.
The group enjoyed international success with hits like ‘Gold’, ‘True’, and ‘Through the Barricades’.
They had eight UK Top 10 albums, a BRIT Award for Technical Excellence, and performed at Live Aid.
After splitting from the band Tony pursued a solo career. He also made appearances on stage, including ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and ‘Chicago’.
