The Brief
In December 2025, Big Foot Events were thrilled to deliver a dinosaur-filled Christmas party for staff at the British Museum in London.
As one of the busiest months in the events calendar, December saw our Dinosaur team delivering a festive run of Jurassic experiences across the UK, including a corporate Christmas party for Furniture Village at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole and a series of adult and children’s celebrations at Venue16 in Norwich.
Despite the packed schedule, this iconic London venue demanded meticulous planning and a truly bespoke prehistoric experience. Our client wanted their museum floor transformed into an immersive Jurassic party, complete with roaming Dinosaurs, expert, engaging Rangers and a full Prop and décor package that complemented the grandeur of the British Museum. Every element needed to feel authentic, engaging and carefully considered.
The Challenge
Turning a world-renowned museum into a Jurassic party space came with some unique constraints. All props had to be positioned with extreme care to avoid any risk to museum treasures or the venue itself.
Additionally, several bespoke props needed to be designed and built specifically for the event, including custom signage and electric fencing props around the dance-floor. These props had to be fully battery-operated and securely weighted to meet the venue’s requirements.
With a limited setup window, our team had to work quickly while maintaining Big Foot Events’ high production standards. December’s tight turnaround between events in different locations across the UK added further pressure, making efficiency, logistics and careful planning absolutely essential.
The Solution
To maximise efficiency, the British Museum provided on-site storage for props and equipment the day before the event. This allowed our team to stage items close to their final locations and avoid unloading from vans on the day, significantly reducing setup time.
Every inch of the museum floor was carefully mapped in advance. We strategically placed each element, ensuring both safety and visual impact.
The final setup included custom British Museum Park gates, static dinosaur props for photo opportunities, dinosaur eggs, palm trees, a baby dinosaur Hatchery and Gyrosphere.
Our expert Dinosaur Rangers and roaming dinosaurs then brought the prehistoric environment to life, interacting with guests and creating an immersive Jurassic experience throughout the evening.

The party was a roaring success! Guests were entertained throughout the evening by our roaming Triceratops, T-Rex, Spinosaurus and Raptors, while the props, Hatchery, Gyrosphere and bespoke décor transformed the museum floor into an immersive Jurassic environment.
The finished experience exceeded client expectations, transforming one of London’s most iconic venues into a prehistoric spectacle while respecting the British Museum’s unique surroundings and requirements.
