The Kommitments live show is dynamic, visual, authentic and accurate, capturing all the energy to truly recreate the atmosphere and brilliance of the movie, with music such as Mustang Sally, Hard To Handle, and Take Me To The River, plus many classic Soul hits too!

  • THE KOMMITMENTS are a live 10 piece tribute to the hugely popular feel-good film of the nineties “The Commitments”.

    The live show is dynamic, visual, authentic and accurate, capturing all the energy to truly recreate the atmosphere and brilliance of the movie, with music such as Mustang Sally, Hard To Handle, and Take Me To The River, plus many classic Soul hits too.

    The Kommitments share the same commitment to their music, with that instantly recognisable horn section and that sweet soul rhythm section, on their ongoing journey’s they undoubtedly continue where the film left off, still spreading the word of Ottis Reading, Wilson Picket, and the other apostles of Soul, and in doing so enables us all to experience the essence of…….Sweet Soul Music.

    As in the film, the band come from all walks of life, dedicating themselves to becoming ‘the hardest working band’ of their genre and it’s that dedication and passion for Soul music, that captures the audience from the moment the band explode onto the stage.

    The six musicians in The Kommitments are all hugely talented, professional performers, whose love and enthusiasm for playing together is obvious from their hugely entertaining performances.

    The band are guaranteed to get everyone of any age up on the dance floor, or just sit down and listen, the sound is amazing! The Kommitments really are the Ultimate Tribute.

    And of course The Kommitments are now Joined onstage by Dave Finnegan the original man himself from the film who played Mickha Wallace.

The Ranger and Rex were outstanding, every single guest loved them to pieces and we certainly had the wow factor for our wedding. Just the idea of having a dinosaur is one thing, but the way Rex, Trixxie and the Ranger worked tirelessly to entertain the entire wedding party just added to the overall effect. We've had non-stop comments from those who attended saying it was pure magic, videos of the experience have gone viral and we even had guests from the hotel desperate to catch a glimpse of Rex. I cannot overstate how incredible you all have been, from the day a weirdo messaged Lauren asking for a dinosaur at their wedding, to speaking with Jade to coordinate everything and then finally meeting Rex and the Ranger on the big day. Everything worked out a million times better than I ever thought possible, and my dad was very pleased to see Rex was appropriately dressed with his bow tie.
