Workshops
Junk Jodie can work around any theme and use recycled materials to spread the message about the climate emergency, encouraging schools and families to reduce, reuse, recycle, and take care of our planet. Jodie also offers workshops in storytelling and well-being with a focus on mindfulness and positive mental health for children.

RainbowLICIOUS: a storytelling adventure that explores how Beverly Butterfly becomes Rainbow-LICIOUS through mindfulness. In this show, children will also meet Jodie’s recycled friends, including Ronald Rabbit, Uni Unicorn, and Barry Badger.
The show aims to support positive mental health for children and encourages young people to embrace the present moment by tapping into their senses with the use of listening, feeling emotions, touch, taste, discovering, and appreciation.
Designed to inspire children to create toys from recycled materials and bring them to life using their imagination and creativity, this show is filled with rhymes, songs, and a vibrant array of colours. Get ready for a Rainbow-LICIOUS adventure!
TreeTASTIC: a storytelling adventure into the Amazon Rainforest, following the story of Jenny Jaguar, made from a plastic bottle, as she explores on an adventure through the Amazon Rainforest. Along the way, she experiences the deforestation. Jenny Jaguar goes on a mission meeting various recycled Amazon animals, including Sally Sloth, Terry Toucan and Ally Anaconda.
Together, they draw attention to the importance of protecting the Amazon rainforest and what we can do to help. This educational and entertaining show aims to stimulate children’s imagination, showcasing what can be created using recycled materials and how they can bring them to life through their imagination and creativity.
The show includes sing-along songs, rhymes, dances, and finishes with a short craft activity.
SeaTACULAR: a storytelling adventure into the sea, following the journey of Wanda Whale, made from a plastic bottle, as she embarks on an underwater adventure, only to discover lots of litter damaging the sea. Wanda goes on a journey, meeting recycled underwater creatures like Olly Octopus, Cathy Crab and Harry Hammerhead Shark, drawing attention to how humans can take better care of the sea and marine life. Educational, yet fun, bonkers but important, this show will have all the sparkle of Rainbow-LICIOUS and more! Aiming to stimulate children’s imagination, showing them what they can create using recycled materials and how they can bring them to life with their imagination and creativity. The show also includes sing-along songs, rhymes, and concludes with a short craft activity.
WildERFUL Warriors: a storytelling adventure into the winter woodlands, following the story of Dexter Deer, made from Kitchen rolls and sticks, as he embarks on an adventure through the woods. Along the way, he encounters a significant amount of litter that is damaging the woodlands. Dexter sets out on a mission to meet various recycled winter wildlife animals, including Helena Hedgehog, Elena Eagle and Oscar Otter.
Together, they draw attention to the importance of humans taking better care of the woodlands. This educational and entertaining show aims to stimulate children’s imagination, showcasing what can be created using recycled materials and how they can bring them to life through their imagination and creativity.
