The Amazing Bavarian Stompers present a German Theme Event in the UK that is a tradition of ethnic German Oompah bands!
The Amazing Bavarian Stompers occupy the unique position to have been the first British comedy oompah band to be engaged to appear at a major German bier festival. Their popularity stems from the fact that this is no bunch of Bavarian geriatrics! The tremendous vitality and enthusiasm of this act is so infectious that an atmosphere of insobriety is immediately created with maximum audience participation.
Their show is a rip-roaring musical journey to the Bavarian Bier Kellers involving the quaffing of copious quantities of liquid refreshment en route. A perfect antidote to the rigours and stresses of modern life. They have appeared at every conceivable type of venue throughout their long history and have performed many times on Radio and Television.
The band are a collective of the finest Bavarian musicians (over 40 in total, established in 1971 by the Stompfather Frank Chislett) they can provide Authentic Bavarian interval music if required, they carry their own sound system and lighting rig.
Instrumentation by electronic accordion, sousaphone and drums. (However, the band can be augmented to suit specific requirements)
The Bavarian Stompers reputation of being the best oompah band in Britain is well founded – just ask the Germans!
