It takes various elements to create the perfect musical occasion. Wonderful musicianship alone is not enough.
Lucy is known for her unwavering ability to read a crowd, incredible vocals , ability to sustain an atmosphere ( whether it be romantic and sentimental in the church - or celebratory at the reception / party) - and when the time calls, get 'every last person on that dancefloor'  (including Grandad!) ...leaving you to simply enjoy every precious moment.

With over 15 year's experience as a wedding singer/pianist around the globe, Lucy's has over 300 songs in her repertoire list.
Her range is extremely broad: From Ella Fitzgerald to Stevie wonder, Adele to U2, James Brown to Diana Krall, Take That to Carole King.
Whether it's your wedding day, an anniversary party or a corporate function, Lucy's ethos when she plays for you is that
'This is YOUR time ' and as such, is happy for you to make special song requests in advance of the occasion.
You can hand pick a song, simply make a selection or leave it all to Lucy to read the occasion herself.
Should you have a special song request not already on Lucy's song list, she is open to preparing it for your very special day.

What you didn't know about Lucy:

Multi-talented Lucy Sassoon has it all. Not only a professional singer & skilled pianist, Lucy is an accomplished television presenter & voiceover artist.
Her sound has been likened to that of Diana Krall & Renee Geyer, yet whether smooth Jazz, gritty Blues or Pop, her musical interpretations are characterised by the distinctively smoky Sassoon style.
Born into a family of musicians, Lucy’s natural talent for music was apparent from early on. By 12, she was an outstanding classical pianist & cellist, qualifying for a Royal Academy of Music scholarship by the age of 13. And yes, those regular family concerts had the Sassoon kids known as ' The Von Trapps'-which was not exactly every 13 year old's dream... but with hindsight must have been a definite advantage!
From her humble beginnings in Manchester, Lucy went on to complete her Bachelor Of Music, majoring in piano at the University Of London. This was soon followed by Lucy's first foray into performing overseas in Hong Kong where she became a regular musical fixture on the elite corporate & exclusive hotel scene. It was during her first year backpacking in 1990’s Australia that Lucy realised what she missed most… was her grand piano.
In 2005, Lucy returned to Australia. Within a year of performing at London’s prestigious Pizza On The Park & Camden’s Jazz Café, she had hit Sydney’s noted Winebanq, Soup Plus & Arthouse. Lucy went on to retain  solo/duo/trio and 4-piece residencies at Australia’s most prestigious  5 Star hotels – including Sydney’s Park Hyatt, Intercontinental Hotel, The Sheraton On The Park, The Marriott, Stamford Plaza Double Bay and The Sofitel Wentworth to name but a few. Not to mention being flown nationwide to perform around the country.
Lucy supported the Las Vegas Platters on their Australian tour 2 years running and was the support act for the Drifters on their 2008 and 2009 tour of Australia.
However, with a 24 hour flight to Antipodean paradise seeming a long way from home in the long-term, Lucy chose to return to her roots, settling back in the UK back in 2011.

Already, Lucy has become a favourite choice for both Corporate and Private Events across the North West. She currently holds residencies at Manchester’s newest Jazz club, 'Bloom Live,'  ‘The Genting Casino,’ and can regularly be heard performing at such prestigious venues as ‘The Mere Golf & Country Club,’ ‘Mottram Hall,’ ‘The Hilton Hotel’ and ‘Peckforton  Castle’ to name but a few. She recently performed at one of UK Premiership Football's Highest Profile Events - The Annual 'Creme De La Creme' Charity Ball.
Lucy’s  beautiful voice is something that sets her apart from the average performer. However her sensitivity, warmth and engaging, intelligent manner coupled with her ability to read her audiences enable her to create the perfect ambience. These qualities make her stand out as an entertainer.
Whilst her repertoire ranges from Eva Cassidy to Jamie Cullum, Sting to Bacharach, Billie Holliday to Adele & U2 to Carole King, so it’s no surprise Lucy Sassoon is in constant demand.
Stevie Wonder, Ella & 'singing along ‘Linda Ronstadt style’ to her father’s pianistic renditions of Jazz standards are Lucy's warmest childhood musical memories. Whilst she also cites Pat Metheny, Lyle Mayes, Sinatra, Diana Krall & Quincy Jones amongst her greatest influences.
