The Brief
Murraywood Construction wanted to celebrate 30 years in business with an evening that recognised the company’s milestone and, importantly, gave its staff a celebration worthy of their contribution. The brief was to create a luxury corporate anniversary event with an elevated environment, immersive entertainment and statement styling that would make an impact from the moment guests arrived. The event needed to combine sophisticated production and décor with a varied entertainment programme, while creating an atmosphere that felt celebratory, engaging and appropriate for a significant company milestone.
The Challenge
The event was almost a year in the planning, and the creative brief evolved during the process, including a change in the overall theming direction.
With a highly detailed production and multiple entertainment elements to coordinate, consistency across the event was essential. Décor, lighting, entertainment, guest experiences and the overall environment needed to work together as one cohesive celebration.
There was also an important human element to the brief. The event needed to feel genuinely reflective of Murraywood Construction and its staff, rather than simply being a visually impressive corporate party.
On the event day, final adjustments to décor and layout required the Big Foot team to adapt quickly while maintaining the intended guest experience and production standards.
The Solution
Big Foot created a sophisticated black-and-gold event environment at The Midland Hotel, combining statement décor and lighting with a varied programme of live, interactive and speciality entertainment.
The entertainment was deliberately structured to provide different experiences throughout the evening, from arrival and mix-and-mingle entertainment through to high-impact performance moments.
Event Production & Environment Design
Big Foot managed the overall event production and environment design, including:
Live Entertainment
The live entertainment programme combined music, speciality acts and a professional compere. Guests experienced:
The entertainment was designed to build energy throughout the evening while providing distinct performance moments rather than relying on a single form of entertainment.
Interactive Guest Entertainment
Big Foot also provided a range of interactive experiences designed to keep guests engaged throughout the event. These included:
These activities gave guests opportunities to participate and interact between the main performance moments.
Experiential Bar Entertainment
Flair bartenders provided performance-led interaction as part of the cocktail bar experience, adding another visual and interactive element to the evening.
What Big Foot Delivered
The completed event combined event management, production, styling, entertainment and guest experiences within a single anniversary celebration.
The delivered elements included:
Managing Changes on the Day
A key part of the delivery was the team’s ability to respond to changes without allowing them to affect the guest experience.
Final adjustments to décor and layout required flexibility from the production team on the day. With multiple suppliers, entertainment elements and production requirements involved, maintaining clear coordination and a solutions-focused approach was essential.
The Big Foot team adapted to the changes while maintaining the overall look, flow and production standards of the event.
The Result
The completed celebration gave Murraywood Construction an opportunity to mark its 30-year milestone while recognising the contribution of its staff.
The event maintained a steady flow of entertainment and guest interaction from arrival through to the final moments of the evening, combining live music, speciality performances, interactive experiences and a professionally managed event environment.
Murraywood Construction praised the professionalism of the production and décor team, particularly their ability to manage last-minute adjustments without disruption to guests.
Compere Tom Finkill was specifically highlighted by the client for holding the event together and ensuring the evening ran smoothly from start to finish.
The result was a cohesive corporate anniversary celebration combining luxury styling, live entertainment, interactive experiences and full event production.
