Named after one of the climatic lyrics in 2007 Arctic Monkeys hit Fluorescent Adolescent, Last Laugh Lane are a 5-piece band with a wealth of experience setting out to perform classics by the greatest indie bands of the 00s.
Fair warning: You’re about to join a place of ultimate ’00s nostalgia’. We’re not talking about flip phones or the launch of the iPod… Absolutely not. This homage is dedicated to all the Indie bands who rocked that decade and shaped an entire generation of young cocky rockstar wannabees like Last Laugh Lane.
Last Laugh Lane take it back to the days of MSN, when you’d rock out on Guitar Hero and post whatever song you were listening to on MySpace.
Last Laugh Lane perform Indie hits from the pop-tastic ‘The Killers’ and ‘Coldplay’, world-renowned names such as ‘Kings of Leon’ and ‘Biffy Clyro’, the anthemic ‘Franz Ferdinand’ and ‘The White Stripes’, the ultra-cool ‘Arctic Monkeys’ and ‘The Strokes’, and many other household indie names such as ‘The Kooks’, ‘Kaiser Chiefs’, ‘The Libertines’, ‘The Wombats’, ‘The Fratellis’, and many more.
Expect to hear songs such as the sport stadium anthem ‘Seven Nation Army’, the g.o.a.t ‘Mr Brightside’, the instantly recognisable ‘Ruby’ and ‘Sex of Fire’, the head-bangers ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ and ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’, and, of course, the song they are named after, ‘Fluorescent Adolescent’.
Fancy a trip down Indie Memory Lane? You’ve got it with Last Laugh Lane.
