Paul has 20 years experience as a performer, which was evident when he stole the show in his third Royal Variety Performance at the Hammersmith Apollo at Christmas 2002 in the presence of HRH the Prince of Wales.
Since his first Royal performance in 1997 Paul has appeared regularly on shows such as ITV`s Tonight at the London Palladium with Bruce Forsyth, The Big Stage, The Freddie Starr Show, Shirley Bassey`s 60th
Birthday Special, Richard Digance Christmas Special, BBC1`s Generation Game, ITV’s A Royal Gala, Carlton TV’s Stand Up at Jongleurs, BBC TV`s The Stand Up Show, ‘Late Night With Jerry Springer’ Open House with Gloria Hunniford, Today with Des and Mel (2005 & 2006), ‘The World Stands Up’ and ‘Undercover Magic’ for Sky TV.
He was the first outright winner - by over 100,000 votes -of the Big Big Talent Show hosted by Jonathan Ross on LWT. He made his TV debut as a magician on BBC`s Tricky Business. However, within 6 months he appeared as a ventriloquist on Hanger 17 and shortly after that landed a two year contract presenting the Disney produced kids programme Rise and Shine for GMTV.
Live shows include The Paul Zerdin Show to sell-out audiences in Blackpool during the summers of 97 & 98, which were followed by new shows in 2004 at The Horseshore and 2005 at the Paradise Room. Other live shows include the highly successful
“Paul Zerdin – No Kids” at The Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
Christmas 2006 saw Paul’s 12th
year in Pantomime appearing as ‘Buttons’ in the lavish First Family Entertainment production of “Cinderella” at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking. This forthcoming Christmas will see Paul performing in “Snow White” at The Richmond Theatre, London.
He has worked on many TV commercials including Kelloggs, Persil and Honda and was a puppeteer in the Jim Henson film Muppet Treasure Island. He was also the ventriloquial adviser to Anthony Sher in the BBC Film Genghis Cohn.
Being such a versatile performer he is also in great demand all over the world with frequent performances on P&O, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Holland America cruise lines.
Paul has also been support to some of the biggest names in the business and has opened for artistes such as Norman Wisdom, Ronnie Corbett, Smith and Jones, Roy Hudd, Joe Pasquale and David Essex.
He has also toured/performed in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, Dubai and has made several trips to entertain our troops in Iraq.
Paul can now be seen headlining regularly at the world famous Comedy Store, and Jongleurs Comedy Clubs and with his unique style of comedy and its mass appeal he’s become much sought - after in the corporate and after dinner market.
