It all started in 1998 in Blackburn. Immanuel Feniscowles Scout Troop had been asked to organise the entertainment for Saint Georges Day Parade. The Club Scout Leader (Neil-Dad) suggested they use a live band. A live band made up of cubs and scouts, that just happened to be his sons. They played their first ever gig at King Georges Hall in 1998.
In 2000, they began song writing with the help of their dad. They recorded a 5 track EP at Shamrock Studios. It was at that studio where they got their first glimpse of stardom. Here the local daily paper ‘The Lancashire Evening Telegraph’ had come to do a story on them, which led to the front page.
The thought that has drove them all is to be the best they can be, to be successful and to make sure the best that they can be is better than anyone else.
Their career highlight is winning the GMTV’s No1 Family Competition in 2009, a national TV Competition to find the most talented family in the UK. Their prize was a one album recording contract with Universal Records, to release a Christmas album the same year. They sold a reported 12000 copy’s.
Beardsmith are available for weddings, functions and corporate events..
The general layout of the show is 2 x 45 min sets of live music. They offer a DJ service for in-between spots after their sets. Beardsmith can also do up to 5 song requests as long as they know them and are more than willing to learn a specific song for your event or first dance for a small extra fee.

A special thanks to Graham who dealt with my booking and happily answered my many (many!) questions in the lead up to the event. Overall this made this year’s conference entertainment the best ever. I would recommend Beardsmith in a heartbeat and hope to use them again one day.”
